Le Bayou Legendaire, Richard Sale Barn announce Fall Series | VermilionToday.com – Abbeville Meridional, Gueydan Journal, Kaplan Herald, Vermilion Parish, La.

With the hint of cool weather approaching, Le Bayou Legendaire announces their Fall Series concerts to be held at the Richard Sale Barn located at 307 S. Henry St. in Abbeville. Always a smoke free concert, the doors open at 6 p.m. with the music beginning at 7 p.m.

On Sept. 25, Average Joe featuring Wade and Joey Richard will be the kick off band. Wade and Joey are twin parts of a rhythm and blues family legend. This Vermilion parish father and son duo have been singing and writing together for the past 15 years. Wade’s rhythm and blues style was cultivated at age 15 while playing with bands such as Rockin Sydney, Everett Brady and Charles Mann. He is performing with Wayne Toups, and wrote the now familiar Wayne Toups hits “Zydecajun Train” and “Please Explain.” Joey has won his musical performance credits while playing with the Jaryd Lane band, and lends a perfect match to his dad’s easy style. If you love rhythm and blues, Wade and Joey are not to be missed.

October will see Le Bayou hosting an international Cultural Convention “Beauty and Culture without Borders” on Oct. 15, 16 and 17. This convention will have workshops on how our music, our planet and our cultures transcend languages and places. It will explore this concept with people from Acadiana, Quebec and France. The public is invited to attend any and all the events during this weekend. On Saturday, Oct 17, there will be a finale presentation featuring music, poetry and artistic works created during the convention.

Mike Dean Band and his special Americana country music will be on Nov. 20 and the irreplaceable Michael Juan Nunez Band will be back for his Christmas Blues concert on Dec. 18.

These concerts and events will be an opportunity to experience special nights of amusement in a unique amphitheater setting with a limited number of 100 tickets sold. For more information on any of these concerts or the upcoming convention, you can e-mail Kathy at lebayou@bellsouth.net.
