Abbeville, LA. The Sons of Voodoo lead off the 2013 Fall Season with their return performance mix of Southern style at the Richard Sale Barn. This one of a kind performance will be on Saturday, March 9, 2013, at the Barn located at 1307 S. Henry St. in Abbeville. Always a smoke free concert, the doors open at 6 pm with the music beginning at 7 pm.
Sons of Voodoo, a group from South Louisiana, return to the Barn with their own versions of rootsy Cajun and Zydeco, Louisiana Blues, Classis Soul, and hard pounding Rock n’ Roll. Comprised of colorful vocal harmonicas, smooth guitar licks, a rockin’ accordion and an in-the-pocket-rhythm sections, the Sons continue to develop and deliver a refreshingly original sound.
Brothers Lane and Billy McDonald use the influences of Clifton Chenier, Buckwheat Zydeco, Aldus Roger, Jimmie Vaughan and Los Lobos to create their own unique southern style which is not to be missed.
As always, these concerts and events will be an opportunity to experience special nights of music in a unique amphitheatre setting with a limited number of 100 tickets sold.
